Are You Ready To Be Overtaken?
“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God! Deuteronomy 28:1-2
Overtaken defined: to pass, to surpass, to come from behind and get in front of or before you.
Have you ever been in a race and you were winning the race? You were ahead of all of the other runners. It seemed that you had this win in the bag and the finish line was in sight. Then all of a sudden another runner comes up beside you and proceeds to pass you. They have overtaken you, finished the race ahead of you and were waiting on you as you got to the finish line.
Saints, this is how the Lord wants to bless His children. But only if we live a life that is pleasing to him. What God is saying is that He’s blessed you in the past. He’s blessing you right now and He’s got blessings for your future. No matter where you go, there’s a blessing waiting on your arrival.
These blessings have surpassed you and waiting on you to get in the right place to receive them. You get in the right place by staying the word. You get in place by living His word.
You get in the right place by being a good example of Godly living. In other words you are blessed in your home, you are blessed on your job, you are blessed in your relationships, and you are abundantly blessed no matter what.
The enemy will try to come into your life and steal your joy. The enemy knows that you are blessed and it’s his job to destroy your mindset. It’s his job to make you think that you are not worthy of God’s blessings. It’s his job to belittle you and make you get out of the race.
The enemy knows that you have something worth stealing, so he will do his best to trip you up while you run this spiritual race. I urge you to keep running, keep praising, keep praying, obey God, get in place and receive the blessings that God has in store for you.
Be blessed
