Do You Know The Truth?

Do you know the Truth?

John 14:6 – Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life…

I was looking at the movie “A Few Good Men” the other day. There was a courtroom scene in which Tom Cruise asked Jack Nicholson to tell him the truth. Jack responded with “You can’t handle the truth”. Now I’ve seen that movie many, many times but this time it hit me like a ton of bricks. Talk about a Rhema word!! Do we really know the Truth? More importantly can we handle the Truth? There is a major difference between what is TRUE… and what is the TRUTH.

The definition of truth is: a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like.

The doctor may say that you have cancer cells in your body and that is true. But Jesus said that by His stripes you are healed and that’s the Truth. Continue reading

You are the LIGHT of the World! (PART ONE)
avatar

Hello again everyone!  I hope this finds you well and that you will have great day today!

My post today comes from Matthew 5: 14-16.  In the passages, Jesus teaches “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.“

How often do you feel like you are the “light of the world”?  This earthly life can be full of nothing but pain and tragedy if you let it. Our own human weaknesses leads us down all kinds of paths that bring nothing but mental, physical, and spiritual pain. Continue reading

Good Friday Devotion – Why Did Jesus Have to Die for YOUR Sins?
avatar

God bless you on this day which happens to be Good Friday. This is the day that we commemorate the day that Jesus was beaten, tortured and the fact that He was an innocent man who was punished and brutalized for my sins and your sins… and that He died a horrible death on a rugged, wooden cross.

After reading that description… many of you will no doubt wonder… there is NOTHING that sounds “good” about what you just stated Daniel… so why on earth do they call it Good Friday?

Here is my take on it…

When Jesus came into this world… it was His mission, His plan, His very purpose right from the very start… to become a sacrifice for the sins of those who accept Him as the Lord and Saviour of their lives.

Why Did there Need to be a Sacrifice for Our Sins?

It is actually quite simple when you think about it. Simply put Continue reading
